Give a bird a forever home
Adopting a bird from our sanctuary means giving a rescued or rehomed parrot a second chance at a happy life. Every bird in our care has been assessed, health-checked, and matched with adopters who are the right fit for their personality and needs.
We don't just hand birds over — we take the time to get to know you, understand your lifestyle, and make sure the match is right for both of you. A good adoption is a lifelong commitment, and we're here to support you every step of the way.
How adoption works

Send us an enquiry through our bookings page or contact form. Tell us about yourself, your home, and the kind of bird you're hoping to adopt.
Meet the birds
We'll invite you to visit the sanctuary to meet our available birds. There's no rush — we want you to find the right connection.
Adoption assessment
We'll have a friendly chat about your experience with birds, your home setup, and how you plan to care for your new companion.
Welcome home
Once approved, we'll help you prepare for your bird's arrival and provide ongoing support as you settle in together.
We understand — and we're here
Life changes. Circumstances shift. Sometimes, despite our best intentions, we find ourselves unable to provide the care a bird needs. If you're in this situation, please know — you are not a bad person for reaching out.
Surrendering a bird to our sanctuary is an act of love. It means putting your bird's wellbeing first, even when it's hard. We will never judge you for making this decision.
We do our best to accept all surrenders, but we are a small sanctuary with limited capacity. Please contact us as early as possible so we can plan appropriately.
How surrender works

Contact us through our bookings page or by phone. Tell us about your bird — species, age, temperament, and why you need to surrender.
Initial assessment
We'll ask a few questions to understand your bird's needs and our current capacity. We'll always try to find a solution.
Arrange handover
We'll agree on a date and time for you to bring your bird to the sanctuary. Please bring any food, toys, or familiar items.
Ongoing updates
With your permission, we'll keep you updated on how your bird is settling in — and let you know when they find their forever home.
